General Information
We hope that you can attend one of the Town Hall meetings.
Presentations: if you would like to make a presentation at
one of the Town Hall meetings, please send pritchet@uvic.ca a
proposed title, a brief abstract, and let us know how long
you would like this presentation to be.
THIS SHOULD PREFERABLY BE DONE BY MAR 1.
- We especially welcome talks that present new material/
points of view not covered by the white papers, or
amplify (not duplicate) points made in the white papers.
- Talks should be brief and to the point. We will want to
schedule plenty of discussion time.
- Depending on demand, presentations may have to be
scaled back in time. The LRP panel will decide on
the final schedule and length of presentations.
Late talks may be difficult or impossible to schedule.
- Please make slides and notes available to the LRP
panel well before the meeting, and a copy of
your slides on a memory stick for the meeting
organizer.
Other information:
- Town Hall meetings will be full day events; the start time,
room #, and draft agenda will be known by mid-late Feb.
- For those who cannot attend in person, we are hoping to have
multipoint video access, and teleconference access. Please
let the local contact know if you would like connect via one
of these systems. A video test will be organized a few days
before each meeting.
- The rough content of the Town Hall meetings will be:
- Brief LRP Panel presentation
- Presentations from audience (see above)
- Discussion of questions from LRP Panel (to be posted
online)
- Other discussion
- In camera sessions
