"Cosmic Frontiers" Lectures Celebrate a Century of Astronomy at Toronto

University of Toronto Department of Astronomy& Astrophysics, Ontario Science Center and Astronomy & Space Exploration Society have partnered to present a series of four free public lectures in September-October 2005, in part to celebrate a century of astronomy at Toronto. The lectures will be given by leading astronomers who are also outstanding public speakers, and will address some of the most exciting topics in current research. The first lecture is co-sponsored by the AAS Second Century Lecture Program. The lectures will be held on four Friday evenings at 7pm in the magnificent Convocation Hall on campus, and will be followed by pub events and sidewalk stargazing.
