This year we are celebrating 100 years of astronomy and astrophysics
at the University of Toronto. An important part of the festivities in
the fall will be a series of four public lectures, ``Cosmic Frontiers''
-- http://www.astro.utoronto.ca/cf.html. Held in our 1600-seat
Convocation Hall, we anticipate that these will be memorable events.
We extend a special welcome to our many alumni throughout Canada and
abroad, and of course all are welcome! The past century has seen an
accelerating growth in our discipline and the development of many
fruitful collaborations, now of national and international scope.
Given this strong basis, we look forward to the next 100 years!
