Over the past two weeks a "flood" of E-Cass articles appeared in the e-mail and continued to do so up until almost the time of release of this issue. There are a number of articles updating the Astronomical Community on the LRP. In one of these, Dennis Crabtree describes progress made in the development of VLOT (Very Large Optical Telescope). By way of contrast, Mel Blake has submitted a feature arguing the need for a another Canadian medium-sized optical telescope. On other fronts, check out the Classroom section in which Heather Scott and Travis Whyte bring us news on the development of the Canadian Astronomical Society Education Website.

Also, as the issue was "going to press", word was received that John Percy has been named the 2003 Northrop Frye Award winner by the University of Toronto. A singular honour for John and one that we all wish to celebrate.

Finally, the current issue also contains a link to a pdf version of the March Equinox issue. Let me know if you find this useful or if you have any other ideas or suggestions about the layout and presentation of E-Cass.

Happy reading and welcome to Spring!
