Just when I thought there wasn't going to be much to report in E-Cass the flood gates opened and the summer issue is packed full of timely and important articles, notes and notices. Thanks to the many contributors! Of particular mention - Michael DeRobertis tackles the thorny issue of how NOT to give a scientific talk. (editor note: I didn't think my last talk at CASCA was that bad since most of my family members stayed until close to the end!). In the classroom section Nathalie Martinmbeau begins a series The Planetarium Education Connection and Travis Whyte presents an important contribution to elementary astronomy education in the article Web-Based Astronomy Curriculum Resources - Sixth-Grade Pan-Canadian Science Curriculum.

In this issue we also acknowledge with sadness the passing of three senior CASCA members - Lorne Doherty, Jack Grant and Malcolm Thomson. Obituaries are provided for Lorne Doherty and Malcolm Thomson. An obituary for Jack Grant will appear in a forthcoming issue.

So, enjoy the June Solstice and ensuing summer! Until the equinox...
