Special Lifetime Service Award to Ed Kennedy from the RASC


A Special Lifetime Service Award was made to Ed Kennedy at the General Assembly of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada in 1998 June at Victoria. The award recognises Ed's exceptionally long and devoted service to the Society and his untiring efforts to promote and preserve the historical record of the development of astronomy in Canada.

Ed is a charter member of CASCA and for many years provided reports both to the IAU and to our Society on developments in the history of Canadian astronomy. He is retired in Saskatoon as Professor Emeritus at the University of Saskatchewan.
