This Solstice issue comes on the eve of exciting events - FUSE will be launched on 23 June, Gemini North dedicated on 25 June, the Halifax CASCA AGM 27 to 30 June, and through the summer we can expect developments with the Long Range Planning exercise, the Centres of Excellence competition, and members of the Herzberg Institute will become increasingly hard of hearing as heavy construction intensifies around them.
Paul Feldman has provided a most thoughtful article on the history of Canadian research into molecules in space and we are very grateful for it - this is just the kind of writing that we welcome together with short scientific gems like the infrared dark clouds article from Russell Redman and his colleagues.
Gerry and I must have final correct copy of submissions one week before publication deadline. Who knows, in the September Equinox issue we may even hear from the Education sub-committee!
