Job Announcement in Calgary


The University of Calgary expects to have a opening for a post-doctoral research associate to work on a Concept Study for an instrument for X-ray Astronomy. The position will have a start date of Feb. 1, 1999 (with some flexibility) and duration of 10 months. The requirement is a PhD in physics or astrophysics. The candidate will be expected to work with other astrophysicists and detector physicists to produce and optimize a design for a hard x-ray telescope system for an all-sky survey.
