Student Travel Grants

 

In order to encourage students to attend our annual meeting and present papers, the Society offers each year a number of small travel grants to contribute to the travel expenses of students attending the meeting.

The Society provides the Local Organizing Committee of the annual meeting with the travel funds.    Students who want to apply for a travel grant need to communicate with the Chair of the LOC.    The call for application is normally included in the preliminary announcement of the annual meeting which is distributed to members about two to three months before the meeting.

These grants were offered for the first time in 1998.   The amount given to each student depends on the distance between his/her home institution and the meeting.
